Shipping Policy - City Diesel, LLC
At City Diesel, we understand that getting your parts quickly and safely is important. We strive to process and ship all orders efficiently so you can get your vehicle back on the road.
1. Order Processing Time:
- Most in-stock orders are processed and shipped within 1-2 business days of purchase.
- Orders placed after 3:00 PM EST on a business day, or on weekends/holidays, will begin processing on the next business day.
- Please note that during peak seasons, sales events, or unforeseen circumstances, processing times may be slightly extended. We will communicate any significant delays.
- Orders for custom-made, special-order, or back-ordered items will have extended processing times, which will be communicated at the time of purchase or via email.
2. Shipping Methods and Carriers:
We partner with reputable carriers to offer a range of shipping options. During checkout, you will be able to select from available services based on your location and the items in your cart. Our primary carrier is:
- UPS
- Freight carrier: Averitt
3. Shipping Costs:
- Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the weight, dimensions, destination, and selected shipping method of your order.
- We may offer free shipping promotions from time to time. Eligibility for free shipping will be clearly stated on our website.
- Additional charges may apply for oversized, overweight, or hazardous materials. These will be clearly indicated during the checkout process.
4. Estimated Delivery Times:
Estimated delivery times vary depending on the shipping method selected and your location. The following are general estimates once an order has shipped:
- Standard Shipping: 2-5 days
- Overnight/Express Shipping: 1-2 business days
- Freight Shipping: 5-10 business days (for oversized/heavy items)
Please note: These are estimates and not guarantees. Delays can occur due to carrier issues, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances.
5. Shipping Restrictions:
- P.O. Boxes: We do not ship to P.O. Boxes. Please provide a physical street address for delivery.
- International Shipping: At this time, we DO offer international shipping. We currently only ship within DHL.
- Hazardous Materials: Certain auto parts (e.g., some chemicals, batteries) are considered hazardous materials and may have shipping restrictions or require special handling and increased shipping costs. These will be identified during checkout.
- Alaska/Hawaii/U.S. Territories: Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. Territories may incur additional costs and extended delivery times.
6. Order Tracking:
Once your order has shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your tracking number.
7. Damaged or Lost Shipments:
- Inspection Upon Delivery: Please inspect your package immediately upon arrival for any signs of damage. If you notice any damage to the packaging or the contents, please refuse the shipment if possible, or make a note of the damage with the delivery driver.
- Reporting Damage: If you accept a damaged package, you must contact our customer service team within 24 hours of delivery. Please provide your order number and clear photos of the damaged packaging and product(s). We will work with you to file a claim with the carrier and arrange for a replacement or refund.
- Lost Shipments: If your tracking information shows that your package was delivered but you have not received it, please check with neighbors or your local post office.
If you still cannot locate your package, please contact our customer service team within 7 days of the reported delivery date. We will initiate an investigation with the carrier.
8. Incorrect Shipping Information:
It is the customer's responsibility to provide accurate shipping information. If an order is returned to us due to an incorrect or undeliverable address provided by the customer, the customer will be responsible for
